Event Team Opportunities
What paid roles are available?
Healthcare Professionals
Doctors, paramedics, nurses and physiotherapists providing finish line and support point / aid station care. Must have professional qualifications, although we also accept doctors with sufficient experience but still in training. Must have your own indemnity / medical malpractice insurance.
Response team
Providing an emergency response capability – must be a current Mountain Rescue Team member with significant experience over many years. As a minimum, our response Team members must be CBT (Stage 1A) and RRMT qualified. Our preferred Response Team members are usually also Healthcare professionals and/or outdoor professionals.
Mountain safety
Professional outdoor instructors assisting with climbing / scrambling safety and manning remote checkpoints – must be qualified (for example MCI or ML). Applicants should have their own insurance.
First Aiders
Working on aid stations at long distance races. Must have appropriate first aid qualifications (for example minimum RRMT or FREC4) and at least 2 years practical experience.
Alongside delivering event duties, we also support our team in professional development, relevant to supporting events. For example, medical team learning about pre-hospital management in an austere environment, often with delayed transport times to definitive care.
